About Us

The Calibration Center of the Royal Air Force of Oman was established in 1980 as a small technical facility for calibration services. Over time, it evolved into one of the leading national institutions in the field of metrology and calibration in the Sultanate of Oman. Today, the Center serves as a technical and strategic cornerstone, supporting a wide range of military, civil, security, and industrial sectors by providing advanced solutions to verify the accuracy and reliability of technical systems and devices. This aligns with the strategic directions of Oman Vision 2040, which aims to build a knowledge-based economy grounded in innovation and institutional excellence.

Since its accreditation in 2020 according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the Center has adhered to the highest technical standards in quality management and calibration services. It has become a trusted national reference and a regional hub for precision measurement. Operating through five specialized laboratories, staffed by qualified experts and supported by advanced infrastructure, the Center plays a pivotal role in strengthening national quality systems and elevating Oman’s regional and international standing in metrology.
